About Sylum Records

Our Story

Every extraordinary journey starts with a turning point. Ours began in the middle of chaos.

Sylum Records was born during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. While the world shut down, Soham—then in his junior year at university—found himself stuck indoors with nothing but time, frustration, and a hard drive full of unfinished ideas. So he stopped waiting and started building.

What began as a one-man operation during lockdown quickly evolved into a creative movement. Sylum wasn’t crafted in a studio with major label backing or industry hand-holding. It was forged in solitude, shaped by necessity, and driven by a vision: to build a home for artists who give a damn about the craft. No gatekeepers. No algorithm-chasing. Just raw expression, sharp execution, and music that hits like truth.

We exist for the artists who don’t fit the mold, who don’t water themselves down, and who’d rather starve than sell out. Sylum Records is more than a label—it’s a rebellion against the noise, a call for real connection, and a blueprint for how the industry should work.

Today, we’re building a future where artists own their work, shape their sound, and reach their audience—without compromise. Whether it’s producing, writing, collaborating, or mentoring, we back talent with vision. No middlemen. No fluff. Just music that matters.

This is Sylum. Born in isolation. Built for impact.

Our Vision

Sylum exists to be the home of raw emotion and real storytelling. No gimmicks, no polish for the sake of it—just music that cuts deep and speaks honestly.

Our vision is simple: to be the go-to space for artists who turn pain, passion, and purpose into sound. We specialise in fusing emotion with rhythm—tracks that make you feel and move. From the first note to the final mix, every release is built to hit where it matters most: the soul.

Our artists aren’t chasing charts—they’re chasing truth. Every lyric, every beat is pulled straight from lived experience. Their struggles, their dreams, their stories—they pour it all in so listeners can see themselves in the music.

This is where vulnerability meets craftsmanship. Where feeling isn’t just allowed—it’s the foundation.
